A useful opportunity for Ukrainian manufacturers of personal protective equipment!

08/12/2020

The Office of the World Health Organization in Ukraine (WHO) is initiating a product evaluation to support Ukrainian manufacturers to confirm that WHO-recognized standards have been used to produce personal protective equipment (PPE) needed to prevent the COVID-19.

Manufacturers who have received a certificate of conformity issued by a national authority, or who self-declared the conformity of manufactured PPE, but have not passed the tests in a European certified laboratory, have the opportunity to test their products for compliance with the requirements of the EU Standards.

The purpose of this assessment is to increase the production of local PPE with guaranteed standard quality, to provide an opportunity for Ukrainian manufacturers to apply for tenders to WHO and international partners.
